A Landscape Approach to Agriculture.m4v

High up in the mountains or at the margins of the desert -- these are just some of the harsh conditions where people are successfully interacting with nature, finding innovative ways to manage landscapes to grow food.

Bioversity anthropologist, Pablo Eyzaguirre, talks about the potential of integrated agricultural landscape approaches to reconcile the objectives of agricultural production and nature conservation. He also speaks about how Bioversity International is contributing its knowledge gained from working with smallholder farmers around the world to an international effort to help find solutions, at a time when a consensus is emerging that many our current food system approaches are unsustainable.

Bioversity International is part of Landscapes for People, Food and Nature - an international initiative for dialogue, learning and action.
